What Is PolyLevel^® Injection?

PolyLevel® injection is a concrete lifting method that uses high-density, expanding polyurethane foam to repair sunken slabs. Small holes are drilled into the concrete, and the foam is injected beneath it. As it expands, it fills empty spaces, lifts the slab back to level, and stabilizes the soil below. It is a fast-curing, lightweight alternative to traditional mudjacking.

Reasons to choose PolyLevel^® Injection

Strong but light

PolyLevel® weighs only about 4lbs. per cubic ft., compared to 120lbs. per cubic ft. for standard fill material. PolyLevel®’s light weight makes it useful where denser fill material might impose an undesirable load on weak soils. Despite its light weight, PolyLevel® can support substantial loads; it typically provides greater lifting power than mudjacking.

Waterproof

Once cured, PolyLevel® will not wash away. PolyLevel®’s waterproofing properties can be beneficial in certain applications.

Stable and inert

PolyLevel® does not react with soil or moisture; it will not leach harmful chemicals into the soil.

Quick curing

Downtime is minimized with PolyLevel® concrete repair. Full loading of the foundation, roadway, or other structural element can usually happen about 15 minutes after the material is injected.

Adjustable

Adjusting the density and expansive force of the 2-part foam affords a wide range of geotechnical uses. Lifting force can be adjusted by fine-tuning the chemical reaction that causes the foam to expand. An experienced applicator can factor not only the weight of the structural element but also soil characteristics and temperature and weather conditions. Special formulations are possible for applications where water must be displaced.

Noninvasive

PolyLevel® injection equipment isn’t bulky, enabling applicators to access confined areas. When properly injected, PolyLevel® is not as messy or disruptive as other slab and foundation-lifting techniques.

OUR CONCRETE LEVELING PROCESS

Thorough Inspection of the Affected Concrete Area

We begin with a detailed inspection of the sunken or uneven concrete. This allows us to identify voids beneath the slab, signs of soil washout, and areas that need stabilization. We also evaluate surrounding structures and drainage conditions. This step ensures the repair plan addresses the root cause, not just the surface problem.

Strategic Drilling of Small Injection Holes

Small, carefully placed holes are drilled into the affected slab. These holes are about ⅝ inch in diameter and positioned to allow even distribution beneath the concrete. The placement is planned to achieve a controlled lift. This approach keeps the repair minimally invasive.

Precise Injection of PolyLevel® Foam Beneath the Slab

PolyLevel® foam is injected through the drilled holes and into the empty spaces below the slab. The material expands as it fills voids and begins to raise the concrete. The injection is closely monitored to ensure accuracy. This precision prevents over-lifting and restores proper support.

Controlled Lifting and Leveling of the Concrete

As the foam expands, it gently lifts the slab back toward its original position. Adjustments are made in real time to achieve an even, level surface. The goal is to eliminate trip hazards and restore stability. The process is fast and does not require heavy equipment.

Patch Injection Holes for a Clean, Finished Look

Once the slab is level, the small injection holes are filled and sealed. The patched areas blend with the surrounding concrete for a neat appearance. The work area is cleaned before completion. In most cases, the surface is ready for use the same day.
