We can correct tilting foundation wall problems quickly to allow for basement finishing
This innovative wall anchor system will permanently stabilize your foundation wall by anchoring your walls to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond your foundation.
After installation, wall anchors can often be tightened over time to further straighten your foundation walls and pull them back to their original position.
Advantages of the GeoLock® Wall Anchor:
- Minimal disturbance to lawn & landscaping
- Year-round installation
- Permanently stops inward movement of walls
- Potential to straighten walls over time
- 25-year manufacturer’s warranty
This steel beam wall reinforcement system stabilizes bowing foundation walls by securing them from the inside of the home when exterior access is limited or not possible.
Once installed, the PowerBrace™ system immediately halts inward wall movement and can be adjusted over time.
Advantages of the PowerBrace™ Wall Repair System:
- No exterior excavation required
- Ideal for severely bowing or leaning walls
- Custom fit for each foundation wall
- Provides immediate structural stabilization
- Allows for potential wall straightening over time
The GeoLock® Channel Anchor System provides a permanent solution for bowing, buckling, tilting, or inward-moving foundation walls that are demonstrating signs of failure.
This solution includes a complete system and a channel anchor that mounts on your foundation floor and wall for optimal bracing.
Advantages of the GeoLock® Channel Anchor System:
- Zinc-plated components prevent rust
- Immediately stabilize walls
- Channel connects to earth anchor embedded deep in soil
- Installations usually completed in less than a day
- 25-year manufacturer’s warranty
what are Wall Reinforcing Systems?
Wall reinforcing systems are specialized methods used to strengthen and stabilize foundation walls (typically in basements or crawl spaces) that are experiencing structural distress, such as bowing, buckling, leaning, or significant cracking. These systems are designed to counteract the immense lateral pressure exerted by the soil and water outside the foundation, preventing further inward movement and, in many cases, allowing for the gradual straightening of the wall. By reinforcing the walls, these systems restore the structural integrity of the home and protect it from further damage.

Installing Wall Reinforcing Systems
Comprehensive Inspection & Pressure Diagnosis
A Cantey Foundation Specialist will conduct a thorough assessment of your bowing, buckling, or leaning foundation walls. We will identify the type and severity of the cracks, measure the inward deflection, and accurately diagnose the specific cause of the external pressure (e.g., soil type, drainage issues, hydrostatic pressure).
Customized Repair Plan
Based on our detailed diagnosis, we will recommend the most appropriate wall reinforcing system(s) (GeoLock® Wall Anchors, PowerBrace™ System, or Channel Anchor) and design a customized repair plan outlining the number and strategic placement of units needed for effective stabilization and straightening.
Site Preparation & Installation
- For GeoLock® Wall Anchors/Channel Anchors: A small hole is cored through the foundation wall, and a minimal excavation is made in the yard outside to bury the earth anchor.
- For PowerBrace™ System: Steel I-beams are custom-cut to fit from the basement floor to the joists above. They are anchored to the concrete floor and secured to the overhead floor system.
Wall Stabilization & Straightening
- Wall Anchors (GeoLock®/Channel): Once installed, the anchors are tightened, immediately stabilizing the wall. Over time, they can be periodically tightened to gradually pull the wall back toward its original plumb position.
- PowerBrace™ System: Provides immediate stabilization, and the unique design allows for incremental tightening over time to potentially straighten the wall.
Site Restoration
For exterior work, excavated areas are backfilled, and the site is restored. For all systems, cosmetic repairs to the wall (patching cracks, painting) can be done after the structural repair is complete and the wall has been stabilized or straightened.
