Foundation Repair Case Studies: Fixing A Home Built On Unstable Ground in North Augusta

Challenge

We went out to investigate a "sink area" under this home in North Augusta. Turns out the homeowner was right. The dirt underneath in the crawlspace was starting to "sink" down. This is the same dirt that the foundation is built on and that is supporting the home. We knew right away we had a serious issue that needed to be addressed.

Solution

Our solution to fix this problem was to install 7 push piers around the foundation inside the crawlspace where the soil was "sinking". This ensured that the home would be stabilized and that the erosion of the soil would not be a further issue to the foundation.
