Camden, SC is full of historical homes and with that comes maintenance. The Browns noticed that the floors sagged and dipped in the hallway and in certain rooms making it hard to close doors and causing doorway cracks along the frames. A call was in order to local company Cantey Foundation Specialists for a FREE inspection and estimate. A solution plan was developed to install Smart Jacks through the crawl space under the home. Upon project completion the Browns were pleased to see that their floors no longer sagged, the doors closed easily, and the cracks were barely visible. They could not be more pleased.

Crawl Space Drainage and Discharge Line Installed

This homeowner was experiencing high volumes of water pooling throughout his crawl space with every rainfall. This was causing problems with wood rot under the home and putting the homeowner and family at risk for serious health problems as they were breathing the mold through the vents as the old water evaporated into water vapor. The solution to this was a Cantey CleanSpace with a triple Smart Sump Pump connected to a 98′ drainage line extending to safe area in the yard. An exterior trench drain and a 6″ french drain were also installed in to the drainage lines to keep the water running away from the house and out of the crawl space.

Total Reconstruction of Camden Home

Matt J invested in this beautiful home in Camden, SC.  The house had to be completely remodeled; the floors were sloping, the foundation was crumbling, the walls were cracking, and the cement floor in the green room was separating.  Having a personal relationship with the owner of Cantey, Matt knew to call Cantey after the purchase of this home.  

First, Specialists TJ and Ryan fixed the concrete floor problem in the green room.  They injected the PolyLEVEL substance underneath the two heavy slabs to stabilize the floor better and level it.  

Next, the Production Crew (led by Primary Foreman Sixto Lopez) installed as many as 8 SmartJack Systems, 25 supplemental beams, and 52 outer rim joists to stabilize and level the floor.  Next, the crew replaced the entire subfloor.

The Production Crew completed the last step to this massive reconstruction of this home, which was to add two push piers to one side of the house to fix the foundation cracks and stabilize the entire house.  This prevents the home from settling into the soil.  

Cantey worked on this home before and after the flood and completed its task in a timely manner.  Cantey is proud to have helped Matt out, and Cantey hopes his next remodeling plans run as smoothly as his foundation project did!

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Camden, SC
