Crawl Space Encapsulation in Camden, SC

Edward only visited his crawlspace a few times a year, but after sighting standing water, mold and rotting wood, he called Cantey right away to fix it. After inspection, the Cantey specialist realized the best solution would be to remove the vapor barrier, wrap the piers, and install an encapsulation and perimeter SilverGlo. The installation crew also sealed all vents and installed a new Everlast door and dehumidifier.

Now Edward does not have to worry about a damp crawlspace or mold on the wood beams. Cantey Foundation Specialists are pleased that they could solve Edward’s crawl space problem in Camden SC once and for all!

Total Reconstruction of Camden Home

Matt J invested in this beautiful home in Camden, SC. The house had to be completely remodeled; the floors were sloping, the foundation was crumbling, the walls were cracking, and the cement floor in the green room was separating. Having a personal relationship with the owner of Cantey, Matt knew to call Cantey after the purchase of this home.

First, Specialists TJ and Ryan fixed the concrete floor problem in the green room. They injected the PolyLEVEL substance underneath the two heavy slabs to stabilize the floor better and level it.

Next, the Production Crew (led by Primary Foreman Sixto Lopez) installed as many as 8 SmartJack Systems, 25 supplemental beams, and 52 outer rim joists to stabilize and level the floor. Next, the crew replaced the entire subfloor.

The Production Crew completed the last step to this massive reconstruction of this home, which was to add two push piers to one side of the house to fix the foundation cracks and stabilize the entire house. This prevents the home from settling into the soil.

Cantey worked on this home before and after the flood and completed its task in a timely manner. Cantey is proud to have helped Matt out, and Cantey hopes his next remodeling plans run as smoothly as his foundation project did!

SmartJacks Help Customer Resell Home in Batesburg, SC

PolyLevel Fixes Vintage Car Garage in Elgin, SC

Robert C. is a homeowner and vintage car collector from Elgin, SC. He specifically built his home to have a big garage that could house his collection. The garage is also his space to work on these cars and care for them to keep them in pristine condition. Over the past year, he has noticed the concrete slabs in front of his garage beginning to sink. Worrying about the condition of his garage and his cars, Robert needed to find a fix. Robert was a regular Home Advisor user so he searched for a company that could fix his concrete slabs without replacing them. Home Advisor recommended Cantey Foundation Specialists to Robert and he called in to make an appointment. System Design Specialist Alexander Lovette came out and did an inspection on the concrete slabs. He found that Cantey’s PolyLevel process would be the perfect solution for Robert. The PolyLevel process would begin with small holes being drilled through the concrete slab. Then the PolyLevel would be injected underneath the slab as a liquid to fill all the voids underneath. The PolyLevel would harden into a solid within 15 minutes creating lift and stabilization for the concrete slab. Alexander further explained that this process would be quick and leave no mess behind. Production Team Leader Jeremey Wilson and Production Team Member Nick Collins came out and effectively injected the PolyLevel underneath the concrete slab. Robert is now back to enjoying his vintage cars in the garage while not having to worry anymore.

Crawl Space Drainage and Discharge Line Installed

This homeowner was experiencing high volumes of water pooling throughout his crawl space with every rainfall. This was causing problems with wood rot under the home and putting the homeowner and family at risk for serious health problems as they were breathing the mold through the vents as the old water evaporated into water vapor. The solution to this was a Cantey CleanSpace with a triple Smart Sump Pump connected to a 98′ drainage line extending to safe area in the yard. An exterior trench drain and a 6″ french drain were also installed in to the drainage lines to keep the water running away from the house and out of the crawl space.
