Unfinished Basement Gets a Face Lift in Lyman, SC

Roger is settling into his new home office with the assurance that his storage is safe from damage in the basement.

PolyLevel Produces a Use for Rocking Chairs in Mt. Pleasant, SC

Beth L. has owned her home in Mt. Pleasant, SC for over 15 years now. Since moving in she has noticed her concrete porch sinking lower and lower. At this point, her family never gets to use the beautiful rocking chairs on her front porch because of this potential safety hazard. Beth has definitely decided that this home is her forever home and she should be able to use her porch. She started searching for a local company that could be trusted to give her a lasting solution. Her co-worker suggested Cantey Foundation Specialists and gave her the number to call. Beth called in and was scheduled for an inspection with System Design Specialist Kendall Moore. Upon inspection, Specialist Kendall decided that the best solution for Beth would be Cantey’s PolyLevel system. The PolyLevel system starts with small holes being drilled into the concrete. The PolyLevel is then injected underneath the concrete as a liquid to be able to fill all the voids but then quickly harden to form a solid, strong foundation. This would lift and level Beth’s porch to allow her family to utilize it without worry. Production Team Leader Jeremey Wilson came out to Beth’s home and successfully injected the PolyLevel system. Beth and her family are now using their porch in the afternoons and are thankful for Cantey’s solution to allow them to access their porch again.

SmartJacks Leave Customer Amazed in Landrum, SC

Ann H. has lived in her country home in Landrum, SC for years now. It was the first home she bought as a single woman after her divorce. It is perfect for her needs and allows her to have a quiet home away from town. Through the years, she has put a lot of effort into finding just the right decor to fit what she has envisioned. One day, her favorite decorative plate fell off the wall and broke. Upon further inspection, it was due to the cracking in the wall that she had not previously paid attention to. Now she needed someone that could help her find a solution to protect the home she had worked so hard on. While watching the morning news before work, she saw an advertisement for Cantey Foundation Specialists. When she got to work she called in and was set up for an appointment with System Design Specialist Eddie Mathis. When Eddie arrived for the appointment, he inspected the entire crawl space and determined that Cantey’s patented SmartJack system would be right for Ann’s needs. Eddie explained to Ann that the SmartJack system would start with removing soil at the locations of the SmartJacks. These locations would be filled with tightly compacted crushed stone with a footing placed on top. Then a galvanized steel beam would be installed on the top of the crawl space. The SmartJack would then be attached to the footing and the steel beam. Production Team Leader Matt Garcia, Production Team Member Nick Riddick, and Production Team Member David Herbert came out and successfully installed the SmartJack system. Ann is shocked to have found a contractor that was respectful, polite, and on time while getting the job done right the first time.
