Mary B. has owned her home in Spartanburg, SC for many years and recently decided it was the best place for her daughter to raise her family. Of course, she wanted a full inspection done on the home to ensure the safety of her daughter and grandchildren. She was alerted to the sloping floor in her bathroom and how this floor would only get worse over time. Her husband suggested that they call Cantey Foundation Specialists and get a free no obligation inspection. System Design Specialist Ryan Holloway came out to do the inspection for Mary and found that her foundation was beginning to sink. The solution to Mary's problem was the simple installation of Cantey's SmartJack system. There would be holes dug along the crawl space that would be filled with tightly compacted stone that would be a resting place for a perfectly sized structural footing. These structural footings would then be attached to a steel beam that would be attached to the home and run the length of the crawl space. This would create solid foundation support for the floors of this home. Mary agreed that this was the right plan for her home and her family. Production Team Leader Dallas Darity, Production Team Member Dallas Elgin, and Production Team Member David Watson came out and effectively installed the SmartJack system. Mary is now helping her daughter and family move into a safe and structurally sound home thanks to the Cantey team.
Keith noticed that his concrete in his driveway and sidewalks had begun to crack and sink due to settlement problems. The concrete began to sink so far that Keith was not entirely comfortable driving on it. He then started looking into repair options. Cantey crew members raised his sinking driveway back up to the original position using our PolyLevel Solution, which is a lightweight polyurethane foam that expands under the concrete in order to raise it. Cantey also sealed the cracks in both the driveway and the sidewalks using our NexusPro Sealant that is made to withstand harsh weather conditions and erosion. Keith was very pleased with the results. Cantey CAN fix it!
Brian and Gayle moved into their Spartanburg, SC home a few years ago. Gayle has had trouble with an illness that has caused them both to put their lives on hold. Before she could be discharged from the hospital, they were told they needed to make sure she was going back to a healthy environment. Brian had checked everything but the crawl space, however, when he did it was problematic. The crawl space had a moisture problem that was causing mold growth. Brian had no idea who to call but he needed a solution quickly so his wife could come home. He did a search online and found Cantey Foundation Specialists. Immediately he picked up the phone and within minutes he was scheduled for an appointment with System Design Specialist Nathan Bailey. Brian told Nathan how urgent it was to find a solution when he arrived and Nathan got to work on his inspection. Afterward, Nathan told Brian that the permanent solution he needed to help his wife was Cantey's CleanSpace system. The installation would begin with drain matting on the crawl space floor to ease moisture out of the crawl space. Then a thick lining of CleanSpace material would be installed over the floor, walls, and piers of the crawl space. The lining would be secured with spray foam adhesive to solidify the bond between the crawl space and this protective layer. The CleanSpace system would not only protect their home but keep Gayle in as healthy of an environment as possible. It creates healthier, cleaner air to breathe as well as keeping out pests. Production Team Leader Jonathan Lowder, Production Team Member Matthew Kelley, and Production Team Member David Herbert were able to successfully install the CleanSpace system. Gayle is now safe and sound at home which Brian gives credit to Cantey for helping him create the healthy environment she needed.
Hollis K. of Grovetown, GA had major moistures problems in her crawl space especially after the historic October flood. After signing up for a free estimate at our Home and Garden Show booth, System Design Specialist Jamie Beresford inspected the crawl space, and he found more problems than just moisture issues. Unfortunately, the wood beams had slowly rotted away causing not only crawl space problems, but also settlement problems. Cantey corrected this with the best solution: complete wood replacement and an encapsulation system!
As the foundation along this home in Grovetown, GA began to settle, this customer noticed their front porch had started to sink causing separation and cracks along the sidewalk. Cantey Crew Members injected our PolyLevel solution under the concrete in order to lift it back up so it aligned properly with the home.
